Monster Art: Sea Serpent Silkscreen

Details: In 2002 I bought a silkscreen kit and taught myself basic screening. I did a series of sea serpent prints on a variety of different papers to see how they would take up the silkscreen ink. I later colored this one with drawing inks, but didn't care much for how it turned out. So in 2008 I colored over the drawing inks (which were non-waterproof) with other drawing inks, including metallics, and got something I liked a great deal more. I then did the background with gouache. There are about 13 of these sea serpent prints, all hand-colored in different ways, and a couple I've yet to finish.
