Mills Pond - Austin, Texas: Bird List

Turns out there are quite a number of bird species packed into the Mills Pond and Katherine Fleischer Park area. Some are year-round residents, others stop by for a season, and a few only show up for a day or two before moving on. These are the birds I've seen, in no particular order, that I've been able to identify with reasonable certainty:

Domestic Muscovy
Mallard (several morphs)
Gadwall
American Wigeon
Lesser Scaup
Blue-Winged Teal
Blue Jay
Great-Tailed Grackle
Northern Mockingbird
Purple Martin
Purple Finch
House Sparrow
European Starling
White-Winged Dove
Mourning Dove
Inca Dove
Little Egret
Great Blue Heron
Green Heron
Yellow-Crowned Night Heron
Spotted Sandpiper
Ruddy Turnstone
Least Grebe
Turkey Vulture
Cormorant
Red-Tailed Hawk
Carolina Chickadee
Red-Bellied Woodpecker
American Robin
Northern Cardinal
Scissortailed Flycatcher
Barn Swallow
Tree Swallow
Common Yellowthroat Warbler

Obviously, as I identify birds I will add them to this list, so this should not be considered a complete rundown of all the species you might see in the area.
