I tend to think of sandpipers as coastal birds, but we do get a few here, usually in the spring. This one is a spotted sandpiper that was hanging out at the pond.

There are a great many bird species to be seen by the pond and in the surrounding park. My camera is not good enough to photograph them all clearly, but I have compiled a list of birds I've seen that I am reasonably certain I have correctly identified: List of Birds
