One of the fun features of the shallow, muddy creek is the opportunity to see animal tracks like these. The one in the top photo are courtesy of one of the many raccoons that live around here. The tracks below were made by one of the herons, though I'm not sure which one. Probably the yellow-crowned night heron, since they're the ones most likely to be walking along in the middle of the creek.
